BT-13B Vultee Valiant

Picture
Our BT-13B (A.C.42-90369) was delivered to the U.S. Army Air Forces on April 4, 1944. The next day it would be assigned to Woodward Army Air Field in Oklahoma. On August 21, 1944 it would be transferred to the 267th Base Unit at Fort Sumner in New Mexico. It would transfer to the 4160th Base Unit in Alamagordo, New Mexico on the 28th of the same month. This BT-13B would be dropped from the USAAF inventory on October 2, 1945 before it was sold as surplus to George Pulse of Pendleton, OR in 1947. Other previous owners include Ward K. Wilkins of Linden, IN, David Trapp of Lexington, KY, Jack A. Rose of Spangle, WA, and Michael Mars of Jackson, MS. Through generous donations from our local community, it now belongs to the Wings of Honor Museum.
